 esentation\, I will discuss findings from an ongoing series of studies
  on the fulfillment of social needs in romantic relationships\, focusi
 ng on affiliation with friends\, being alone\, and closeness to the pa
 rtner. First\, I will present results on how accurately romantic partn
 ers perceive each other&#8217\;s social needs and how these perception
 s relate to need fulfillment. Second\, I will present qualitative and 
 quantitative findings on the behaviors partners can show to support ea
 ch other&#8217\;s need fulfillment across these domains. Together\, th
 ese findings provide insight into how romantic partners may contribute
  to each other&#8217\;s social need fulfillment through understanding
