The Team
Our office is a service facility of the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology. We provide guidance on planning your stay abroad and on establishing or managing cooperations with foreign universities. We also serve as a point of contact for international students, scholars, and researchers at the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology.

- Consultation on the offers of PAD, in particular the foreign language assistants’ program

- Advising and support in the strategic development and maintenance of university partnerships and cooperations (Erasmus+ KA131–Programme Countries; Africa, Asia, Australia, Canada, the Near and Middle East, New Zealand, USA)
- Advising on grant applications within the Erasmus+ KA171 programme (Region 3: Southern Mediterranean, Region 5: Asia, Region 7: Near and Middle East, Region 9: Sub-Saharan Africa)
- Advising on international third-party funding opportunities
- Advising on DAAD-PROMOS funding for students and doctoral candidates of the faculty
- Management of central and faculty-internal funds for internationalization (FAU partnership funds, Visiting Professorship programme, Cotutelle travel fund of the faculty)

Open office hours: Monday and Thursday, 3–5 pm (Bismarckstr. 1, C Tower, Room C 2A2).
Additionally, appointments for in-person consultations or consultations via Zoom can be arranged.

- General advising on studying at FAU and on the faculty’s study programs
- Advising on Learning Agreements
- Information and orientation offerings at the beginning of the semester (Faculty Days) and during the semester
- Advising on networking and social opportunities (Buddy Program, language tandem) as well as faculty-internal networking events
- Newsletter for international students
- Coordination of visits by international guests within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 programme (Partner Countries)
- Welcome and networking services
- Advising and support in the strategic development and maintenance of university partnerships and cooperations (Eastern Europe Partnerships, Latin America)
- Advising on grant applications within the Erasmus+ KA171 programme (Region 1: Western Balkans, Region 2: Eastern Neighbourhood, Region 6: Central Asia, Region 11: Caribbean)
- Advising on international third-party funding opportunities
- Central contact person for the faculty’s Eastern Europe focus
- Design, strategic planning, and implementation of measures to strengthen and intensify partnerships
- Conceptualization and strategic development of projects and formats to promote cooperation with Eastern European partners
- Third-party funding applications and project acquisition
- Establishment and maintenance of strategic networks (BAYHOST, BTHA)
