3 October 2026: New EU regulation: Ensuring transparency in AI-generated content

Nowadays, it is perfectly possible to create text, images or videos using artificial intelligence. However, certain legal requirements must be observed.

Since the beginning of August 2026, the transparency provisions of the EU AI Act have been in force in the European Union. Anyone who uses and publishes AI-generated content is, in certain cases, obliged to clearly indicate its use. You can find an initial overview here.

22 July 2026: Research Day at the Faculty of Philosophy and Theology

On 23 July, the Faculty is hosting its Research Day. The event begins at 9.00 am. You can look forward to a varied programme organised by numerous faculty members. In addition to numerous presentations and posters, there will once again be a panel discussion; this year’s topic is: ‘Research under pressure – where are the boundaries of free research?’. All members of PHIL are warmly invited to attend one or more events on this day at PSG III (Kochstraße 6a, 91054 Erlangen).

3 July 2026: Save the date: 15th Digitales@Phil network meeting!

The 15th Digitales@Phil network meeting will be held under the theme: “AI and Assessment – what support does the Faculty of Philosophy need?”

Sonia Hetzner from the Centre of Excellence for Teaching will be joining us to present existing ideas, but above all to hear from all of you about the specific ideas, concerns, support needs, suggestions, etc. that you have or require.

We want to gather these during the event so that we can then work with the Centre of Excellence for Teaching to develop concrete practical applications! The more you contribute, the more we can achieve together!

We therefore look forward to your participation on 17 July 2026 from 09:00 to 10:30 (online).

You can find the Zoom link and the agenda on StudOn (please register in advance) via this link: https://www.studon.fau.de/studon/go/crs/7045383
