Dr. Sandra Dinter awarded with a fellowship at the centre for interdisciplinary research

In a competitive selection process, Dr. Sandra Dinter has been admitted as a fellow to the promotion programme “the Young ZiF” of the Zentrum für interdisziplinäre Forschung (ZiF) at Bielefeld University. She works at the Chair of English Studies: Literature and Culture (‘Anglistik, insbesondere Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft’), and the programme, which aims at supporting postdoc students, will be granting her financial support for four years. This includes three yearly meetings with other fellows, a research-focused stay at ZiF of four weeks, and 10.000 Euro for holding an interdisciplinary workshop. Congratulations!

The Center of Interdisciplinary Research (Ger. Zentrum für interdisziplinäre Forschung; “ZiF“) belongs to Bielefeld university and was founded in 1968, making it the first Institute of Advanced Study in Germany. An independent research organization, the ZiF supports outstanding interdisciplinary and innovative research projects. With the Young ZiF, the ZiF is operating its own promotion programme for junior scholars. Outstanding young academics are given a platform to practise and advance interdisciplinary discourse. Fellowship is awarded after an open application procedure, with public Calls every 2 to 3 years.
